Finley is a very bouncy 1-year-old, 32 pound, higher-energy, mini Aussie who is up for anything and everything you’re doing. He is one of the happiest and bounciest dogs we've met. He quickly bonds to his humans and wants to be glued to them at all times.

He loves chew toys and long rounds of tug and fetch. He needs an active family that can exercise him daily as well as continue training for mental stimulation. After a good amount of mental and physical activity, Finley is happy to lay close by his humans. He’s also gone on multiple public outings and has done great as a patio dog, so a social home where he can join you anywhere you go is a must.

Finley would love an active doggy playmate in the house to roughhouse and play tug with, but wouldn't mind being the only dog either to soak up all your attention as long as regular playdates and park visits are in the books.

Finley is very food motivated and loves learning. He's been working on all his basic commands as well as building focus and house manners. He does still have lots of puppy tendencies (mouthy while playing and counter surfing) that he needs help correcting, so needs an adopter ready to put in the work for both puppy basics and lots of continued training to keep his mind stimulated.

He is both house and crate trained and walks well on leash when using a harness. He gets a little anxious at first when left alone but settles down quickly. He currently needs to be crated when unattended to avoid getting into trouble.

He is always very excited to greet you when you get home and is working on containing his excitement but still can't resist jumping up to give kisses.

He has not been tested with cats.

Finley is neutered, Heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives. He is being fostered in Austin, Tx and is available for adoption in Texas and parts of Oklahoma ONLY.
