Meet Radar! Radar is a 1.5 year old Aussie-Border Collie mix. He is medium active and small standard/large mini sized at 32 lbs.
If you are looking for an active but cuddly, velcro dog, Radar is your boy! Radar loves to cuddle up with his people and wants to be near them at all times. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull, and really enjoys the great outdoors as well as going to social events. He would be perfect for someone looking for a social hiking or outdoor exploring companion. He is extremely agile and athletic, and extremely smart and quick at picking up commands. An ideal home would have a window view to monitor birds and squirrels, lots of activity and outdoor activities, and a human who wants an extra warm lap at night.
Radar also loves to play and cuddle with the other dogs in his foster home! He and his fosterdog sibling can run in the yard for 30 minute stints 4 times a day. They love to jump around and chase after squirrels. He gets two walks a day on top of all the play he gets with his buddy. Radar would do best in a home with another friendly dog or a place where doggie playdates are a regular occurrence. Radar has been tested with cats while in foster care and did good with them too!
When Radar first came to LSAR, he displayed some resource guarding with dogs and people. Although he’s overcome this with his fosters, he would do best in a home with kids over 12 years old.
Radar is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartworm/flea and tick preventative.
